What the world looked like,

through the youth in my eyes,

was a future opened wide,

to all the love I had inside;

to the hatred I defied from birth,

to the trees and Mother Earth,

the thrashing seas and the sandy dirt,

things not lost to how my heart works;

on how my heart bleeds out endlessly,

on how my mind races relentlessly,

how my vision gets glued  quite attentively,

to the shiniest, most reflective thing;

what the world now looks like,

through the blood in my eyes,

something darkened and denied,

too dreadful to care to describe.

    Not at all. So very raw. Thank you for sharing.

    This is a brave and heartfelt thing which pulses with pain. Really beautiful.
