Disconnected Things.

If you must insist,

on fading out like this,

since your tendencies,

have lent to me,

a painful insecurity,

and, since I can’t persist,

I will duly dissipate,

I will smoothly walk away,

from what is meaningless;

and still, the joke’s on me,

the fostering of belief,

in disconnected things,

and now it’s all – so suddenly,

staring at me blatantly,

how this is how you be,

I won’t throw,

the blame at you,

I don’t know,

that I’d want to,

while the fault lies here with me.

Go ahead...say somethin'!
